Hemşirelik Bakımı Kavramı

Bakım, insanın varoluşundan itibaren ihtiyaç duyduğu varlığının vazgeçilmez bir yapı taşıdır. Bakımı, varoluşundan beri profesyonel bir rol olarak üstlenen meslek ise hemşireliktir. Bakımı, yüzyıllardır hemşireliğin profesyonel bir rolü olmasına karşın, teknik bir eylem olarak yürütülmüştür. Ancak bakımın insanın birçok boyutunu ele alan duygu, düşünce, karar, eylem, değerlendirme süreçlerinden oluşması kavramın kapsamını genişletmiş ve tanımlanması gereğini ortaya çıkarmıştır. Birçok hemşirelik modelistinin hemşirelik bakımını tanımlamış olmasına rağmen uzlaşılan bir tanıma rastlanmamaktadır. Bu bağlamda bu metinde hemşirelik bakımının kapsamına, özelliklerine yer verilmiş ve kavramın bir tanımı yapılmıştır.

The Concept of Nursing Care

Care is an essential need of human existence. The profession that has assumed care since the beginning of its existence is nursing. Even though it has been the professional role of nursing for centuries, it has been performed as a technical act. However, the constitution of care by emotions, thoughts, decisions, actions, and evaluation processes dealing with many aspects of humans has expanded the scope of the concept of care and led to the need to define the concept. Even though many nursing modelists have definitions on nursing care, no compromised definition has been encountered. Within this context, the scope and characteristics of nursing care discussed and concepts are defined.
